Birds of a Feather Tweet Together

Confession: I have discovered that Sarah and I are actually twins separated at birth. It is true. We have so much in common from our love of fashion designers, high-heeled shoes and online shopping to our signature fragrance. Has that ever happened to you? It is unnerving and exciting at the same time! Love her!!

The Scoop: I got a sneak peek of the new collections Stila will be launching in the coming season. They are so much fun! I won’t give too much away but, you can expect brighter, bolder colour palettes, long- wearing lip glosses and liners and another addition to the one-step makeup line that will make you glow!

Both Kaci and Sarah are beautiful, funny, charming women, but they are also incredibly talented makeup artists! They had a chance to demonstrate their skills when a few celebrities dropped into the event to meet the dynamic duo. Kaci and Sarah shared some pro-artist tips and tricks while giving mini-makeovers. Check out the pics below to see some highlights from the event.

I can’t wait until these ladies are back in town for TIFF and Fashion Week…. but until then….at least we have twitter!!

Want more Stila? Follow me on twitter @natashankpr and stay-tuned for giveaways happening throughout September as I begin my countdown to IT Lounge 2010 and all things TIFF.

The Kiss…

Posted on

What’s in a kiss? Lately, and I’m not sure why, but I’ve been obsessed with romance. I think most people will agree that there is nothing quite like a passionate kiss. I had so many positive responses to my last love-inspired post, I thought I’d continue on the trend and share my favourite kissing moments. Time to kiss and tell…

1. My favourite romantic kissing scene from a movie? Well I couldn’t stop at just one… so check out this video to see some of my favourites.

2. My favourite type of lip lock? Has to be when a boy lovingly takes his girls face in his hands and leans in to steal a passionate smooch.

3. My favourite pre-kiss quote from a movie comes from When Harry Met Sally.

Harry says “ I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start now.”
How romantic is that?!

4. This brings me to my final kissing moment. It happened recently on the final episode of The Bachelorette. It could have just been the mood I was in, but when Roberto kissed Ali before receiving the final rose, you could just feel the passion between them! Am I right? So cute!

At the end of the day, I believe kissing is the means of bringing two people so close together that they can’t see anything wrong with each other. What could be better than that? Whether you are with someone new or someone you’ve been with forever, don’t forget how important a kiss can be! Now, go give someone special some love and share a kiss!!

What’s your favourite kissing moment/ movie make-out scene!

I’d like to add to my collection!

Have a romantic weekend,

Tips on Finding Love

Posted on

Okay time to dish on last night’s Bachelorette. I was really not surprised with Ali’s choice. You could tell on the very first episode how smitten she was when Roberto got out of the car. She was so attracted to him! Welcome to 2010, where you can meet “The One” on national television.

This morning, someone at the office joked, “I want to find love like Ali and Roberto’s!” so I’ve decided to share my top 3 tips on finding love for the modern gal:

1. The next time you’re at a Starbucks, do the following three-step test.

a) Look down at his footwear. If you think they pass, proceed.

b) Look up at his face. If you think he’s cute, proceed.

c) Look at his hand for a ring. If he is wearing one, do not proceed. If he is not, chat him up.

2. Next time you’re at a bar and you see someone cute, send him over a drink. Enough with the waiting for him- he’ll be impressed with the gutsiness involved in sending him over that Campari and Soda.

3. Stop depending on your friends to make the first introduction! If someone tells you they know someone they think you’d like, ask for his contact, and go for it.

Good Giggle?

Posted on

With all the out-of-office messages I have been receiving, seems like most people have already started their vacation.

I’m not too far behind, just wanted to share a quick video that made me laugh.
This little guy is actually related to NKPR’s own, Andrea Cooper.
She recently shared this video of her nephew Charlie with our office!
What better way to kick off a long weekend than a good giggle?

Hope you enjoy!

Fierce Fashion Friday!

Posted on

I’m already heading back to NYC. The summer is flying, but before I call it a week and head back to one of my favourite spots in the world, I had to share our latest fashion Friday theme. This week NKPR enjoyed a safari theme and the whole team showed their true colours, or should I say spots? Either way it was a great way to brighten up this dull-weather day!

We had exotic animal prints, cool khakis, inspiring tribal patterns, strappy snake-skin sandals and there were even a few authentic crocodile hunters. My idea of safari chic is runway-inspired complete with light linen button downs, wooden accessories, aviators, a woven fedora and great heels. Check out the picture below to see how wild things got around here today!

Now I’m trading one hectic place for another… good-bye NKPR Safari, hello NYC… bring on the concrete jungle.

Golf Season!

Posted on

This summer, I have been totally into golf. I am so excited to go to the Canadian Open this weekend. The course is amazing, and it’s the first time the Open is being held there in over 40 years. So much history and tradition at St. George’s- I can’t wait for Saturday!

My picks for this tournament are Mike Weir (Fingers crossed he can win his first Canadian Open) and Sean O’Hair (coached by a Canadian!)

I’m also loving that golfers have been spicing up their fashion. Did you see John Daly’s pants at the British Open last weekend? And I love Ian Poulter’s style too! Even Tiger showed some fashion flare at the British Open, opting for a purple striped polo. I can’t wait to see what’s in store fashion-wise for the tournament this weekend!

Who is your favourite fashionable golfer?

8 Weeks to TIFF

Posted on

It is that time of year again! Soon, the city of Toronto will welcome thousand’s of Alist celebrities and media from around the world for the Toronto International Film Festival. This is the second largest international film festival in the world and NKPR has been gearing up for TIFF 2010 for months now. With only eight weeks to go, I’m beginning to get excited about all the things NKPR will be doing throughout the festival.

With all this in mind…here is what I am thinking about in preparation for TIFF 2010:

1. “Dress to Impress”

There are so many events, parties and red carpets happening during TIFF. I love seeing what everyone is wearing! This year, I’m ahead of the game and have already begun planning my wardrobe. My “go to” designers and festival staples will include:

Joeffer Caoc, Greta Constantine, RW&Co, Bottega Sunglasses, my prada leather leggings and my new, soon-to-be-favourite Brian Atwood boots.

2. “Working up a Sweat”

Now that I have an idea what I’ll be wearing during the festival, I also have new motivation to get fit! I’m so lucky I work with brands like Brooks and Fila because having great gear makes me want to hit the pavement. Did I mention my new, soon-to-be-favourite Brian Atwood boots are skin tight, thigh-high and zip-up the back of my leg? Hopefully eight weeks of running will make these boots fit perfectly!

3.”Let the Tweet Fest Begin”

I have been obsessing over Twitter the last few months and planning the best ways to use it throughout the festival. There are so many cool things happening around the city during TIFF. I can’t wait to share all the juciy details, hotspots and celebrity sightings with my followers. Follow me @natashankpr for all the behind-the-scene scoop.

4. “15 Brands, 5 Years, 1 Cause”

This TIFF is particularly important for NKPR because it will be our fifth successful year hosting the IT Lounge, our annual celebrity gifting suite at the Windsor Arms Hotel. I can’t wait to make this Lounge our biggest yet! I’m so proud that the IT Lounge will benefit Artists for Peace and Justice! After everything that has happened over the last year, I can’t think of a better charitable partner.

Eight weeks and counting…

Have a great weekend,

Six Months Ago…

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, July 12th, was the six month anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Artists for Peace and Justice is doing important in the country, focusing on education and medical treatments for children affected by the quake. APJ is working directly with the people of Haiti to realize our goals, but there’s still so much to do so it’s really important that we don’t forget about this long forgotten country.

Here is an amazing post from APJ Executive Board member Olivia Wilde:
