Fashion We Love: C&T Costello Tagliapietra for The Bay!

Posted on

“It’s a love letter to all the women who have craved greater accessibility to our brand.”- Costello and Tagliapietra

As huge fashion fans, we love it when acclaimed designers introduce affordable, quality and equally beautiful collections into their namesake repertoires.

Which is why we were incredibly excited to hear about the arrival of C&T Costello Tagliapietra (C&T), a new capsule collection of feminine dresses by award-‐winning designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra. C&T is now exclusively available at select The Bay locations across Canada and on Thebay.com!

Reflecting the signature characteristics that Costello and Tagliapietra’s namesake brand is known for, this accessible collection of dresses features a strong colour palette and exquisite draping. With a wide range of figure-‐flattering silhouettes, there is a style for every woman out there (trust us, C&T is NKPR test-‐driven!) We love the asymmetrical sleeves, sensual necklines, low scoop backs and keyhole cutouts reflected in the collection.

Summer trend alert: The duo’s other inspiration, florals, is evident in their choice of colour palette this season. Inspired by Costello’s paintings, romantic fabrics incorporate bright blues, corals, jade greens and flashes of white.

Here are some of our favourite dress looks from C&T.
At $298 CAD each, we won’t be shy to pick up a solid AND printed number!

The perfect LBD, a PR staple.

We could live in this gorgeous floral dress all summer long!

Summer doesn’t officially kick off until June 20, but with Toronto temperatures hitting the high 20s’, we’d say it’s already arrived! Time to kick back, relax and enjoy the season!

Looking for a refreshing alternative to the typical syrupy sweet drinks of summer? We suggest an Aperol cocktail… or two!  [Chatelaine]

Speaking of refreshment, Bottle Green is a delightful sparkling water from the UK, naturally sweetened with handpicked flowers and fresh-pressed fruits. Martha Stewart approved!    [Toronto Sun]

Sandal season demands a pretty pedicure and essie’s got the perfect shades for summer! Cheeky names are essie‘s trademark… We think we’ll try “bikini so teeny”!   [Toronto Standard]

Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is one of our favourite cultural events in the city! Our favourite exhibit of 2012? Jill Greenberg’s Glass Ceiling. Beautiful and thought-provoking.   [National Post]

When it comes to summer fashion… we love it all! Striped lacy tee from Rachel Rachel Roy? Yes please.  [Chatelaine]

Bold prints are all the rage this season! We love this scenic tank from Mendocino and bright floral printed skirt from Jones New York!  [Flare Magazine]

Picnic couture? We are going bananas over this yellow button-down from RW&CO!  [Fashion Magazine]

Introducing… Kandy with a K!

What could be better than eating candy… for a cause?

When planning our 10th anniversary initiatives, we knew we wanted to include something fun and unique that gives us the opportunity to give back. An integral part of our mandate, NKPR has championed cause-related  initiatives that have helped  to raise 10 million dollars for various charities and organizations since day one. Now at year 10, we wanted to create a fun and sweet way to give back!

Combine our passion for social responsibility with an office sweet tooth, countless event candy bars and the concept for Kandy with a K was born!

Kandy with a K is a cause-driven candy store offering an assortment of nostalgic candies. Think Popeye Candy Sticks, FIZZ, Tootsie Roll Pops, Gumballs and Pop Rocks! Are we bringing back childhood memories yet?

Starting May 14, Canadians can purchase an assortment of ‘kandy’ in the amounts of $25, $50, $75 or higher in support of 10 Canadian charities that hold a special place for NKPR and our clients – Camp Oochigeas, Musicounts, Paws for the Cause, Artists for Peace and Justice, Partners for Mental Health, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, Girls on the Run and Can Fund!

We have already placed our first order! After all, how could we have an unlimited supply of candy in the office without indulging a bit ourselves?

Now we need your support!  Please visit kandywithak.com for a sweet way to give back!  The Kandy with a K bar will also be set up in the NKPR office so come visit us at 312 Adelaide St. W. to pick up your candy in person!

NKPR is incredibly excited to be celebrating our 10th Anniversary this year! Check out NKPR’s timeline, a look back at our 10 years in business!

XO!

The NKPR Team

NKPR Turns 10!

“Don’t aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.”- David Frost.

I can’t believe it! It’s been 10 years since my namesake public relations agency, NKPR, was born. At the beginning, it was just me, Director of Operations Cat Richens and my newborn puppy Decoy, working out of my home. The goal was to create an agency that highlighted stories and issues that mattered. We received our first business license on June 12, 2002.

Since that date, our agency of two employees has grown to 30 incredible and talented staff members, with dedicated PR, talent, digital media and creative divisions!

NKPR’s client roster has also risen, from two to over 31 exciting brands that we feel passionate to work on every day.

To celebrate 10 years in the amazing world of PR, we are thrilled to launch NKPR’s timeline, a fun way to look at the agency throughout the years.

From the first client roster, two moving days, the launch of NKPR’s digital media division, the opening of our New York City office and the IT Lounge that started it all, we invite you to share in our most memorable moments!

Stay tuned for an upcoming 10th Anniversary blog content and an exciting initiative that we can’t wait to share with you. Hint: It’s a sweet way for us to give back, an ongoing commitment that has always been fundamental to NKPR’s core beliefs!

Thank you all for your amazing and continued support over the years. We wouldn’t have reached 10 years without you!

XO Natasha and the NKPR Team
