Cocktail Countdown

Posted on

On Wednesday evening the NKPR team attended one of our favourite pre-festival events: The NKPR Cocktail Countdown Presented by SKYY Vodka! This year’s countdown was hosted at The Spoke Club, an elegant respite from the flashing bulbs and red carpets for Hollywood’s elite. Each year media and special guests gather to toast to another exciting film festival and gear up for the glamorous, fast-paced time of the year. We had a great time reuniting with fellow film festival veterans, all while sipping on the new Official SKYY TIFF cocktails (always an exciting unveiling) and indulging in Jelly Modern donuts and Spoke Club risotto! What better way to kick off the festival?

Meet this year’s SKYYxTIFF cocktails: The Grapefruit Garner, Spicy Scarlett and Adam’s Apple (in honour of Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Adam Levine of course!)

The IT List: January 23

Posted on

IT_Blog

The third week of January is often said to be the most depressing time of the year… And although science says otherwise, we’ll take any excuse to surround ourselves with things that make us happy – family, friends and a bit of retail therapy!

Nail art has hit the mainstream and we love the looks designed by essie Canada’s Lead Nail Artist, Rita Remark at World MasterCard Fashion Week. [Cosmetics Magazine]

We fell in love with Bourbon in 2012 and we don’t plan on ending this affair anytime soon. Winter 2013 and it’s keeping us warm on the rocks.  Looking ahead we can expect some Wild Turkey 81 cocktails on a summer patio and a rustic sip or two in the fall. [Wedding Bells]

Feeling a bit blue after the holidays? Nothing says mid-winter pick me up like fashion-inspired cocktails featuring favourites SKYY Vodka, Aperol, Frangelico and bottlegreen. [Fashion Magazine]

We’ve already shown our love for stila’s Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Electric green. It’s the perfect shade to rock Pantone’s Colour of the Year – Emerald and we’re glad [Flare] loves it too!

Still holding onto a few unwanted gifts from the holidays? Chances are, if the purchaser bought them online, they can still be returned! One of the best return policies, we’ve heard of? SHOP.CA’s 365 day return promise. [Globe and Mail]

Skiing is the one outdoor activity we actually look forward to during January! Explore the slopes and relax in the chalet decked out in Hi-Tec’s New Moon Boots. Comfort and style, we’ll take it! [Sweat Equity Magazine]

The Kit is IT List

Posted on

This week’s IT List is all about one of our favourite fashion and beauty mags – The Kit! After working with legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier at the IT Lounge Portrait Studio, NKPR had the opportunity to create a limited edition print magazine with The Kit, sharing the incredible photos and moments that were captured during film festival. The final product was a stunning piece of editorial, showcasing Patrick’s images and our incredible IT Lounge partners! Check out the final product of [The Kit is IT]!

But first, here are some of our favourite moments from The Kit is IT photo shoot with Patrick Demarchelier:

Suits star Gabriel Macht stopped by the RW&CO. suite at the IT Lounge Portrait Studio and chose a long sleeve black tee for his photo shoot with Patrick! Based on the result, we think Harvey Specter should lose the suit a little more often…

Supermodel Yasmin Warsame owns the cover of The Kit is IT, looking absolutely stunning in the lia sophia earrings and bracelets she tried on here.

From one fashion legend to another! Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker came to the IT Lounge to interview Patrick Demarchelier in the Grain Farmers of Ontario Refueling station, snacked on a Yogurty’s treat and was photographed as she is often seen, with her camera!

Trudie Styler stopped by the Lounge with her  daughter Mickey Sumner for a mother/daughter photo shoot with Patrick Demarchelier! After the shoot, the duo stopped by the IT Lounge bar serving SKYY cocktails, Bottle Green sparkling and AQUAhydrate water before browsing the Holiday collection at RW&CO.

Academy award winning director and APJ founder Paul Haggis visited the Lounge’s Tweezerman booth for a bit of grooming to get ready for his close-up with Patrick!

Canadian television personality George Stroumboulopoulos joined NKPR President Natasha Koifman for a bit of healthy competition for a cause at the STIKS Gaming booth before posing for Patrick!
